At Swedish Country Living, our sheep are much more than farm animals. They are an essential part of how we care for the land, maintaining open landscapes and helping us build a more diverse and resilient ecosystem.

When you stay in one of our Hermitage cabins, you have the opportunity to meet the sheep behind this work — and even join us when we move them to fresh pasture.

During the summer, we move our flock approximately every two days, giving the sheep fresh grass while allowing the previous pasture time to recover.

Would you like to help us move the sheep?

Book a stay in a Hermitage cabin and you can join us for this everyday farm activity at no extra cost.

It's a chance to experience life on a working farm, learn about rotational grazing and see our landscape through different eyes.

Discover the World of Wool

Our sheep also give us another wonderful resource: wool and sheepskins.

Join one of our wool workshops and learn how to create something beautiful and useful with your own hands. You might, for example, make a pair of sheepskin mittens or a cushion using materials from our farm.

COME & STAY. LEAVE WITH A NEW PERSPECTIVE

Whether you're curious about sheep, interested in farming or simply want to experience a little more of rural life, we'd love to welcome you.
