One Last Taste of Summer

Before autumn settles over the countryside, enjoy a peaceful family escape at Skippers Cottage.

 

The days may be a little cooler, but the late summer colours are still glowing. 

 

Spend time together in the large garden, paddle across the calm waters by canoe, or cast a fishing line from the jetty. As the evenings draw in, gather for cosy dinners and enjoy the tranquillity of country life.

 

Meet the sheep, explore the farm, and stock up on lamb, eggs, and local produce from the farm shop.

 

Your stay includes bed linen, towels, and complimentary use of a canoe.

 

October is a special time in the countryside — crisp mornings, golden light, and nature at its most beautiful. 

The perfect opportunity to enjoy one last touch of summer before Autumn takes over.

The charming cottage has 3 bedrooms and is equipped for self-catering with a kitchen, washing machine, and TV. You'll also have access to fast, free internet thanks to optical fiber broadband.

​

Across from the cottage is the stable where the sheep reside during autumn and winter. They are fed twice a day, and you're welcome to come and watch. Later in spring, when the grass has grown, both the sheep and the new lambs are released to pasture. The new lambs usually arrive in April.

​

In the garden, there are outdoor furniture and a grill. Here, you can enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner under the large oak tree.

​

Not far from us is the well-known Aqueduct in Håverud. Want to meet a moose? The moose park is just a 40-minute drive away. If the kids have a lot of energy, we can recommend Dalslands Activities, including gold panning, ziplining, and rock climbing.
